Oliver Stone arrived, a little late, and in person he was all you’d expect — his air that of a heavy-hitting Hollywood auteur, a picture of mellow LA calm. Director and writer or co-writer of a list of cinematic classics, including Wall Street, Platoon, Natural Born Killers, JFK and Born on the Fourth of July, and writer of Scarface and Midnight Express, Stone is the winner of three Oscars and four Golden Globes. Few film directors or screenwriters working today are as in-demand, or acclaimed, as Oliver Stone.
